Sheri Kasprow

Artist Statement

Sheri Kasprow works primarily in two-dimensional mediums with a diverse body of work in various forms of printmaking, photography and acrylic painting. Sheri’s current body of work explores abstraction within the landscape genre, which focuses on exploring the mind-spaces within an environment rather than depicting a particular place. The paintings also call to mind the confidently effortless mark making of calligraphy to depict only essential qualities within the stillness of the landscape. Sheri graduated from Emily Carr Institute in 1996 and is also a current staff member.
